Recent movie of Vijay has strong social message Yeah the Mersal also has a social message at the end with glamorous heroines, sentiments and whistling moments. The movie extremely big list of star cast and the technical troupe. The movie deals with medical scan where the bone and flesh has been exposed this might be the reason for the film U/A certificate.

The movie has lots of similarities with other movies like Sivaji, Ramana and many more commercial hit movies The director previous movie Raja Rani and Theri was not the story written by the director. The director gets inspiration from all the blockbuster Tamil movies and replicating the same scene with grant eye-catching visual. This is the reason where the movie stands tall.

Story :

The innocent village rebel Thalapathy (Vijay) gets backstabbed by an arrogant doctor Daniel (SJ Suryah). Three decades later, the two sons of Vijay one is Magician an the other is doctor Maaran take revenge against the Villian is the rest of the story.

Analysis :

Vijay has given his best performance with Charming screen presence, racy moves, powerful dialogue delivery and mass screen presence. He just nailed it with Thalapathy character with ‘Madurai’ slag adds the extra swag. Nithya Menon steals the show with a brilliant performance, needless to same say is amazing in screen presence. Kajal Agarwal and Samantha don’t have much to do with their character. Alike Kajal and Samantha, Sathyaraj has nothing to add value to the film.

Kajal Agarwal and Samantha doesn’t have much to do with their character. Alike Kajal and Samantha, Sathyaraj has nothing to add value to the film.

Atlee concentrates only on the whole package of the film wherein the story and screenplay he doesn’t concentrate. The story is easy to predict. Nothing to say about his direction brilliance in his movie.

Techinical Team :

GK Vishnu’s grand visual is eye-catching, especially in flashback portion. ‘Aalaporan’ track has been visualized is grandee. A R Rahman’s scores a homerun wherever he gets a chance. He elevates the scene without making noise which impactsmersal-poster Mersal Movie Review : Old Wine in a new Bottle %name the soul of the script.

Verdict :
Overall, the movie has cliché moment with all commercial formula.

What is Good:
Vijay’s powerful screen presence and grand visual.

What is Bad: Grind the rice mill.

Watch or Not? : Entertain all type of audience. But nothing new to present.
