Caroline Danjuma formally known as Caroline Ekanem, is a Nigerian actress half Scott and half Nigerian. She started her acting career far back in 2004 and she gained recognition after featuring in the Chico Ejiro movie “Deadly Care”. She took a break from acting after getting married to Nigerian billionaire “Musa Danjuma”. After her hiatus from the film industry, she had a comeback in 2016 to produce and star in the romantic thriller, “Stalker”.
Early Life And Education
Caroline Ekanem was born on 26 June 1980 to a Scottish father and a Nigerian mother. She is the first child in a small family of three children. Her father is Scottish while her mother a Yoruba woman from Nigeria, She has two half brothers, “Tunde Raphael Afolabi” and “Abiodun Solomon Afolabi”, but not half-cast like her. Their father is from Ejigbo, an ancient town in Osun Stae of Nigeria. She was very intelligent and focus during her primary school , she was winning ‘Neatest and Best Behaved Girl Awards’. For her secondary school, she attended a boarding school, Federal Government Girls College, Oyo and later left for African Church Model College where her grandma was a principal. She was eventually crowned the prefect in charge of the Principal’s office and Sanitation. She is a graduate of Environmental Protection Management, Geography and Regional Planning at University of Calabar .
Caroline Ekanem was officially introduced to acting by Rita Dominic and since then she has never looked back . After getting married to her Billionaire husband in 2007, she took a break from acting , stopped appearing in new movies in order to focus on her family and marriage. After getting married to Musa Danjuma by 2015 she already had 3 kids with her husband . They later separated after spending couple of years together .
She has several awards and many nominations to her name including “Best Actress Award” for her role in “Mass Destruction” at The Nigeria Movies Award . While she stopped acting movies, she focused on other things . The actress reportedly started a record label – Guepard which spun up two acts. She produced a movie titled “In the Cupboard” starring Ini Edo. Chico Ejiro through Rita Dominic introduced Danjuma to the Nigerian film industry in the 2004 film, Deadly Care. She went ahead to feature in many other movies including Deadly Kiss (2004), Missing Angel (2004), The Captor (2006), Foreign Affairs, Real Love, The Twist, A Second Time and The Beast and The Angel. She recently starred in “Stalker”, starring Jim Iyke and Nse Ikpe Etim.
In August 2017, she was honoured for her advocacy programs centered around building capacities of Nigerian youths by a Pan-African organization. Caroline dated 2Face Idibia , the ravishing actress was once involved in a brief romantic relationship with music icon, 2face Idibia at the early stage of her movie career. Caroline caused a stir online in 2015 when she alleged he was born in 1987 insinuating she was just 28 years old which several people found hard to believe.
The ever gorgeous actress was allegedly in a relationship with late Tagbo Umeike before his demise.
