This exactly is the relationship dream every girl on earth wants, but the thing is that it is rare. It is rare that an American woman, 33 became a princess after marrying an man not knowing he is Ethiopian Prince. And the unbelievable thing is that she met him in a nightclub.
The couple story is a not something that you see in most relationships. At the time Ariana Austin met her man - Joel Makonnen at a Washington DC nightclub 12 years ago she had no idea that he was an Ethipian prince. On that night, Ariana had been out with a friend when they were approached by Joel in the Pearl nightclub. Joel, who is a lawyer, told her without hesitations that she was going to be his girlfriend. #loveatfirstsight
To spice up the relationship story, Joel Makonnen did not reveal to her that he was a prince at first but it was only when they started dating seriously that he revealed his royal heritage to her. You know where you see this type of scenario ? in the movie Coming To America.
After 12 years of dating and getting to know each other, Ariana and Joel got married in a lavish Ethiopian Orthodox Christian wedding where 13 priests ordained them couples, two crowns were also ordained, on 9 September.
According to the Times, the wedding festivities, which took place in Maryland, involved a "marathon day of events that lasted from 11 a.m. until late in the evening, and took place within two states."
Joel Speaking to The New York Times about their first encounter, said: "I said: 'You guys look like an ad for Bombay Sapphire'. Not even five minutes later I said: 'You're going to be my girlfriend'."
