Why Musicians are so proud.
Have you observed that about 85% of musicians, singers, choir masters, instrumentalists, often express pride in their actions? They will always have reasons to criticize, grumble, to be jealous, gossip, envy one another. They will always see mistakes in others, argue, complain. They often misbehave because they feel they are too gifted to be corrected, no one can do what they do, and they think that if they are not around, the things would not go smoothly. You will only find few musicians who are meek and humble.
People are prone to rejoice, or scream or cry whenever they watch their favourite music star or any talented singer perform on stage. There is no doubt that musicians are often more celebrated than other stars, inventors or even presidents, unfortunately, because of this, many of them usually feel they are superior to others and feel good about it. There are for instance, many singers more popular and celebrated than their pastors even more than their presidents, who erroneously see themselves as more important than their pastors and presidents. They fail to realize that music is a wonderful gift from God, and no one can compose good music except given the ability by God.
The Bible says that Lucifer, who is now Satan, was created with musical instruments in his body, Ezekiel 28:13 says ” the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created”. Lucifer didn’t create music. Lucifer was given a unique music ability to worship and glorify God and was probably given the opportunity to lead the heavenly choir, whose duty was to sing songs ascribing holiness, majesty, might, power, wisdom, honour, and glory to God. Each time he, and other angelic choirs sang, even other angels would join in rapturous delight and shouts of joy. Job 38:7 tells us that “when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.
Just like in concerts and churches today, where after the musicians or choirs have lead the people to ecstasy or worship God, a round of applause usually follows. This probably made Lucifer to be filled with pride as he began to feel that he was equal with the almighty God. This ultimately led to his down fall. Isaiah 14:11-15 says “Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”
When Satan decided to misbehave in heaven, it was angel Michael who told him, how dare you? and fought and defeated Satan because God is too mighty to fight Satan, Revelation 12:7-9 says “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”.
When Satan was cast out of heaven, God did not take back the gift of music from him, because Romans 11:29 says “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” So Satan is still using the gift that God gave him to ascribe praise to himself and lure people to sin against God. But if the devil has decided to misuse his musical gift, it does not mean you should follow in his footsteps, because there are consequences. Jude 1:6 says “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day”.
Matthew 4:8-9 tells us that “the devil took Jesus up into an exceeding high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory thereof; and saith unto Jesus, all these things will I give thee, if thou will fall down and worship me.”
If Satan could deceive one third of the angels in heaven, and was even bold enough to tempt Jesus Christ to bow down and worship him, then no matter who you are, if you don’t trust in God fully and give time to study your Bible daily, Satan can deceive you if you listen to him. Ephesians 4:27 says “Neither give place to the devil. Today, it is so sad that many musicians and leaders are now worshipping the fallen angel, Romans 1:25 says “who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”
Let’s face it, many who claim to be gospel musicians today are not even born again. James 2:19 says “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” Satan knows the Bible from cover to cover and can twist it to soothe your mind and make you believe that fornication, adultery, homosexuality, occultism, murder, illegal businesses, robbery, lying, alcoholic consumption, pride, anger and so on are not really sin, or are not as bad as people think. A drunkard would argue “Didn’t Jesus turn water into wine?” if you remember, Satan tried to twist the word of God to tempt Jesus, but, our Lord also used the same word to overcome him. Proverbs 26:2 says “the curse causeless shall not come”. So Satan knows that he cannot harm anyone unless he quotes a portion of the Bible that forbids what the person has done.
Many years ago, no one could boldly and proudly declare that they’re witches/wizards or that they belonged to any cult, but today, the devil is busy and freely using music stars to promote and initiate people into different cults and secret societies. It’s now so bad that people no longer see anything wrong in evil because the devil has painted and rebranded evil to make it look so beautiful; many celebrities and leaders are now so proud to be representatives of Satan, using their gifts and position to mislead the world and the world is fast embracing them, due to the effect of music on listeners. Today you will hear people say that a particular artist is their idol without realising that they are actually worshiping the artist by saying that. That’s why the Bible warns us to”Keep our heart with all diligence; for out of it flows the issues of life,” and evil communications corrupt good minds. All things are possible to those who believe, you can only believe what you hear or see.
However, if you accept that satanic offer or voluntarily sign that dubious satanic written contract because of worldly fame, your career may blossom magnificently, you may come into a lot of money just as they promised you, your business may soar into high heavens, you may even win a humongous lottery, but sadly, they have won your soul and you must initiate others into the cult.
In Proverbs 14:12 the Bible warns us that “there is a way which seems right to man but the end thereof is death and destruction.” Satan’s apples may look good, but, it is filled with poisonous worms. If Satan blesses you, he will surely take away all that gives you joy and demand the most important person in your life for sacrifice. Some artistes have exchanged their souls for fame and riches, forgetting that the scripture warns us that “What will it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul in hell where the fire never quenches.” Satan cannot give anyone a star or make anyone shine. He can only steal or cage the glory of people when they sin and later would try to make them come begging for breakthrough, and if they play along, he would seize their souls and release their stars or fast forward their fame and riches; the fame and riches that would have come anyway, if only they had patiently waited for it. Indeed, the riches, untainted, would have been accompanied with profound and truly genuine durable pleasure. This is why the scripture says “the blessings of the Lord makes rich and add no sorrow to it.” Jesus warns us in John 10:10 that Satan only comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy.”
The devil uses beautiful things and attractive people to carry out his operations. Aside from man, the serpent was one of the most intelligent creatures God created, Genesis 3:1 says “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made”. Do you now see why the devil chose to use the serpent to carry out his mission? Unfortunately, the consequence was catastrophic for the serpent. It could no longer walk upright, but began to crawl and became the ugliest and most cursed creature on earth. “And the LORD God said unto the serpent, “Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:” (Genesis 3:14). Satan told Eve, and by extension, Adam, that if they ate the forbidden fruit, they would become wiser, but after man acquiesced, he became a fool, deprived of his comfort, joy, and a blissful home, and so man began to die. Satan is still deceiving millions today, just like he deceived Eve and indirectly, Adam. If you allow him to deceive you because of the promise of fame and fortunes, he will lead you to hell. You will just be another foolish soul beguiled into self-destruction and unmitigated misery. Satan lures people into wicked deeds and practices, egging them on and encouraging them with that deceptive voice in their minds, screaming “No one is watching, do it, do it, do it! You’re not the only one doing it, see, even your pastors, and mentors do it. God will understand, He’s a loving father, He will always forgive sinners!” Sadly, many foolishly fall into sin, and gets choked up with the consequences. Of course, God will forgive them, but the stigma, the scar, the shame may never disappear. For instance, when a lady commits fornication and acquires HIV or ends up with unwanted pregnancy, Satan would mock her thus:” Did I force you into sexual sin? Didn’t you enjoy it? So why are you blaming me?” And yet, there are some sins that may lead to immediate death, not giving the sinner any opportunity to plead for forgiveness.
Therefore, think about what would ultimately happen to those being used by Satan today. No matter how long you train a tiger or lion, they can never fully become a pet, they may pretend to be one for a while, but their feral nature would eventually come to the fore, and they may maul you to death. Those who sell their souls to the devil are like a ram prepared for slaughter. They may appear fresh and polished, but their souls are already in the clutches of the devil who can terminate their lives at will.
