Zanu-PF, ruling Zimbabwe, removes Mugabe as leader

Zimbabwe's ruling Zanu-PF Party officially rejected President Robert Mugabe as party leader, reports Guardian.

The party, according to the Guardian, replaced the party with the vice-president Emmerson Mangangaga.

So far he has refused to step down after the military action last week, insisting he is a legitimate leader.

The citizens of the country protested, walking in the streets and asking him to resign.

However, Mugabe said the acquisition was illegal and that he should be allowed to remain president until next year's election.
