Best Selling Bikes and Scooters in India- The list of bikes in India is huge and it’s bulging with time. Even the premium bike like the ones from Royal Enfield, KTM and so on. However, if we consider the top best selling bikes and scooters, we won’t find many of these premium bikes in the list unless they are budget-friendly or very appealing.

As far as the companies are concerned, Hero, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer has been marginally overhauled by Honda with the Activa scooter, which managed to sell around 60,000 units more than the Hero Splendor. Even the new Hero Maestro 2017 has been gaining a lot of popularity lately, which indicates scooters are no longer a secondary choice in the segment.

So if you are in the market to get your next bike, and wanted to go for a proven product only, here’s a list of best selling bikes and Scooters in the Indian market.

All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.

The Hero Splendor is powered by a 97.2 cc, air-cooled engine which can make a maximum power of 8.2 bhp along with a peak torque of 8.1 Nm. The transmission duties are done by a 4-speed gearbox unit.

The Honda Activa has been given a 109.2 cc engine which is quite capable of making a maximum power of 8 bhp at 7,500 revs per minute along with a peak torque of 8.83 Nm at just 5,500 revs per minute.

Conclusion

Apart from the ones that feature in this list, there are many more motorcycles in the market that are popular but failed to make it to the list since they have lesser sales figure to show. As for example, the Honda Hornet and the Suzuki Gixxer series (standard Gixxer and Gixxer SF) has been immensely popular among the youth these days. Moreover, the Yamaha FZ also found a notable place in the market with its hunky design and great road grip.
