3 Ways to Play Android Games on Windows PC

Do you want to enjoy your Android games on your big screen computer? However, there are a number of ways you can run any Android game on your computer, that too, absolutely free!

In this guide, I’m going to explain three ways you could easily run any Android app or game on your computer. I’m mainly focusing on Windows systems but some of them also work on Mac OS.

One of my most favorite ways is through Bluestacks which is very simple and easy to setup and start using. Some of my friends play their favorite games on Bluestacks and this is perhaps the most stable and consistent.

The Easy Ways to Play any Android Game on your Computer

Now, the easiest ways to run any Android app on your PC is through using app players or emulators. I personally prefer only three which I have personally tested and I can say, these are the best in terms of performance.

Out of these three, I have used Bluestacks the most for playing games and running some apps like Showbox.

Why should you use an Android Emulator?

It’s true that you can start playing any Android games on your PC directly using some sort of Virtual OS which runs on Virtual Box. But I think it’s really time-consuming to download the Android OS and then install it on a virtual machine which is an absolute headache.

This is where Android emulators rock the floor. For instance, Bluestacks comes at only 330 MB in size but delivers the complete Android experience and is much more optimized to run on your computer.

The installation process of these emulators is pretty simple. All you need to do is download any of the emulators and then install it by clicking “next, next” and so on. That’s how simple it all is if you’re running an emulator.

Bluestacks

This is my best choice for running any Android app or game on your Windows PC. Bluestacks is one of the most simple to set up and uses Android emulators. This also packs a lot of features and also comes pre-rooted.

This is quite similar to the Nox App Player which is definitely on the list. But I prefer Bluestacks for its consistency and speed overall. In fact, I have faced a simple lag on Bluestacks and rarely had any crashing issues.

Let’s get into the actual guide on how to install and start using Bluestacks on your PC.

Download the latest version of Bluestacks

The first thing you need to do is go to Bluestacks.com and click on “Download Bluestacks” to start downloading.

One thing to keep in mind is that you need an external GPU or graphics card and at least 4 GB of RAM in your system to run this software as it requires OpenGL 4.4 which is supported by most GPUs except for a few old Intel HD Graphics.

Install Bluestacks 3

I don’t think I need to walk you through this process. It’s very simple, it’s a 333 MB download at the time when I’m writing this guide. Navigate yourself to your “Downloads” folder and find the setup file.

The installation process will start and as usual, you need to see and agree to some TOS and click “next, next” the whole time. It’s very simple and anyone can do it.

Open Bluestacks and login to your Google Account

Once you have installed Bluestacks, you can now run any Android app on your Windows PC. Just open Bluestacks from the shortcut on your Desktop.

You then need to setup Bluestacks by logging in to your Google account which will be used to access the Google Play Store and Google services such as Gmail and more.

Go to Google Play Store and download games

Open the Play Store in the Bluestacks App Player and you can now search for any game or app. It’s just as same when using an Android tab. Look for your desired game and download it.

You can then enjoy the game on your computer for free running on an Android emulator – Bluestacks.

Nox App Player

This is one of my top choices when it comes to Android emulators. In fact, Bluestacks and Nox are neck-to-neck similar. It’s just a personal preference if you want to use either of these.

For me, Nox is packed with a lot of features like FakeGPS which helped a lot when playing Pokémon GO. This also allowed easy movement using your keyboard which was a deal breaker.

If you’re a geeky kind of person who loves trying new features. I think Nox App Player is your go to. This also comespre-rooted meaning you can try different mods or basically anything you want.

Download Nox App Player

The first thing you need to do is go to BigNox.com and click on the big “Download” button. You can also get this for Mac OS meaning if you’re using a MacBook, you can also play any Android game for free!

It’s gonna take some time, totally depending on your network speed. Once you have downloaded, you need to follow the next steps.

Install the Nox App Player

The next step is definitely to install the app player. Similarly, you need a GPU which supports OpenGL. I’m not sure which version is required, but almost any GPU will do the work.

Just find the setup file or the file you downloaded, and start the installation. Keep pressing “next, next” and agree to any TOS.

Open Nox App Player and Install your favorite games

The next step is simple. Once you have finished installing the Nox App Player. You can start the emulator from the desktop shortcut. Similar to Bluestacks, you need to login to your Google account to use Play Store and other Google services.

Then go to Play Store and download your favorite games and you can now enjoy the game on your PC which is bigger than any other mobile phone or tablet.

Andy

Andyroid is one of the most popular Android emulators which support both Windows and Mac OS. It’s not as feature-packed as Bluestacks or Nox App Player.

But this emulator gives a simple interface which many might prefer. You can run any Android games on your Andyroid. It’s very simple to setup and start using. It’s quite like the older versions of Bluestacks.

Here’s how you can start downloading Android games on your Windows PC or Mac OS using Andy.

Download Andyroid

First of all, head over to Andyroid.com and click on the “download” button to start downloading. It’s going to take some time, depending on your network speed.

If you’re using Mac OS, be sure to download the Mac version only or it’s not going to work. If you’re on Windows, there’s nothing much to worry about.

Install the software

The next step is to open the downloaded file which will start the installation of Andy. This is dead simple and all you really need to do is agree to some TOS and click “next, next”.

You also need to login to your Google account to set up the app to use Google services such as Play Store which is crucial for downloading new games.

You can also use third-party app stores for mods but Play Store is something which will be used by most users. For instance, you can install any Android app just like on any other Android smartphone.

Install your desired apps and games

The next step is no brainer. All you need to do is open Google Play Store and search for the games you want to play. Then download the games via Play Store.

The installation will take less than a minute and you can start enjoying your game for free! One of the cool features of Andy is running games directly from your desktop without having to open Andy at first.

Conclusion

This is everything you need to know about running any Android game on your PC. I definitely recommend these three Android emulators instead of running it on a virtual machine.

It takes more time and even doesn’t come pre-rooted. But you get the stock Android experience which is a bonus for many users. But I think you can use these app players and love playing the games on the bigger screen.

I personally use a Windows system and I have tried all three of these. But Bluestacks is my favorite. However, it all comes to personal preference which one you really want to use.

The procedure for all of the emulators is dead simple. Just download, install and run your favorite games. That’s everything you need to know. However, I have provided such step-by-step tutorial for absolute beginners.

If you found this guide helpful, be sure to share on this Social Media and with your friends who are dying to play their favorite Android games on their computers.
