Army Major Who Lost His Leg in Kargil War Watched Sarfarosh After 20 Years, Aamir Khan Replies

It’s been 20 years when Aamir Khan’s film Sarfarosh got released. It was released on April 30, 1999. It was a patriotic film, filled with the spirit of country love and many people share memories with it. It was the same year when the Kargil War between India and Pakistan happened.

Retired Major DP Singh, who lost his leg for the sake of his country in the Kargil War, has shared one of his memories related to the film on Twitter.

His post went viral and soon Aamir Khan also noticed his post and he gave him a beautiful reply. He tweeted,

In 1999, Major DP Singh got injured in the Akhnoor sector near LOC. In this attack, he lost one of his legs. He was fitted with a prosthesis to replace his missing leg.

But even after losing his leg, his passion as an India brave soldier never faded. He has participated in 18 marathons with his prosthetic leg. His name is recorded in ‘People of the Year 2016’ in the Limca Book of Records.
