Prepare for continued turmoil in the money markets this year and another dynamic year full of change and headstrong energy. Luckily, the Yin Fire Rooster is a little more mellow than the Yang Fire Monkey of 2016, but the pace won’t let up much as we move into a very yang (male, active) period of time known as the 9 fate. This year is a 1 Water year, which places the Black 2 sickness star is in the Northwest of the Flying Star this year. This means that governments and institutions will be under pressure, and sickness will either be revealed and rooted out or allowed to set in and rot. The 5 Yellow troublemaker star is in the South which will affect the male energy. There is also a Fire Under Mountain influence which could see some volcanic eruptions and potentially more bombings as there is a lot of fire/metal crush this year unfortunately. The Ba Zi Chinese Horoscope of the year is weak Fire, with wood and fire as supportive elements and earth, water and metal as supportive elements.  This means that Spring and Summer should be productive but the winter and autumn could become overwhelming or frustrating. How to work out your Chinese Animal sign?

For those of you born from in the months of January to November you take the year of your birth from the lists below, however, if you are born around the Winter Solstice i.e.. between 20 Dec to 31 Dec then you will belong to the following year for example, someone born on 26th December 2009 might think they are an Ox but in fact the energy of the year has renewed at Winter Solstice and now become the Tiger i.e.. 2010.  You do not work out from the Spring Festival dates in February as this is inaccurate.

Rat 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, 2032, 2044

The Rat has several auspicious stars looking after them this year, and also they occupy the Dragon Castle meaning that a LOT of energy will be coming their way. You simply cannot say yes to all the opportunities and must learn to focus on your biggest goals or else you will be constantly set back by ‘small fry’ projects or people who don’t value your vision. This will thwart your growth this year if you allow it to, but if you get organised and realistic with your time, you can achieve many of your long held hopes and dreams this year.

The Ox has a good relationship with the Rooster, so their hard work should be rewarded this year in terms of recognition. You have several auspicious stars with you this year which will help further in achieving your ambitions and to help reduce any problematic situations should they arise. It might be a little lonely this year but this means you can fully focus on your work and career progression. All in all the message for this year is GO FOR IT!

Tiger 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022, 2034, 2046

The Tiger must be careful this year to conserve their energy and not let other people ‘pinch their chi’. It is a good year to focus on your career and to be helped by mentors that you trust to help you. Take care of your finances this year otherwise you could lose a lot of money. You do have a few lucky stars looking out for you, so with discernment you will find the right people to trust.

Rabbit 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, 2036, 2047

The Rabbit is against the T’ai Soi this year – meaning, it is in opposition to the ruling animal of the year the Rooster – so depending on the type of full horoscope chart the person has (based on Year, Month, Day and Hour) the Rabbit could either have an amazingly good year, achieving long held ambitions through taking big action – or they could find the year totally overwhelming and disastrous.

If possible the Rabbit should avoid going to funerals or hospitals this year and if they must, then they are to turn their back as the coffin goes into the ground (or the coffin goes into the cremation furnace). It is also best to avoid dangerous places like cliff tops, building sites and dark alleyways.

The Dragon is allied this year with the Rooster, so should benefit from the year. They have the Big Fortune star but also could lose as much as they gain if not wise. Be careful with family members this year and getting into situations that could make you feel trapped, either psychologically or literally, such as quicksand or caves etc.

The Snake is good allies with the Rooster, so they too will benefit from the energy of the year.  They will need to control their anger this year though otherwise it could get them into trouble. The horse could be a little challenged this year in terms of their health but some powerful auspicious stars will help to protect them and this could even be a very romantic year for you. All in all though try to approach the year in terms of getting your house in order rather than trying to do anything too ambitious, as this will serve you better and prepare you for more auspicious years to come.

The Sheep has the Small Fortune star this year so could stand to make some good financial gains. Be careful though of the possibility of betrayal by a lover/husband/wife and the tendency for problems in the bedroom. The Monkey might find it hard to concentrate this year and should avoid any activity related to hooks (bungee jumping, flying trapeze etc.) as this could be especially dangerous for them. Similarly, high wires or swing ropes should be avoided this year and I would advise against wearing ties if you can help it. Supervise any children born in the year of the Monkey even more closely than usual if they are playing on swings or roped games, particularly if high up in trees or in adventure playground constructions.  Zip wiring would also be inadvisable and would rock climbing that relies upon systems of hooks and ropes. Teaming up with people born in the year of the Rat will help the Monkey this year.  Focusing on innovation this year will help the monkey to concentrate better.

The Rooster is the Leader of the Year and has the Imperial Crown star which is a very powerful and lucky influence. Whenever you are the leader though the year will be very powerful and action packed, which is great for some people, but overwhelming for others, so try to team up with someone born in the Year of the Ox or the Year of the Dragon as they will help to ground you and you can help to promote their work.
