This Upcoming Thanksgiving Weekend, Please Join The 2021 East Hampton House & Garden Tour!

My Favorite Event of the Year:
Thanksgiving Weekend's Annual

with a kick-off cocktail party at the Maidstone Club

I'm excited to note, The East Hampton Historical Society is hosting the 2021 House & Garden Tour, a self-guided tour boasting five examples of historic and modern architecture in the Hamptons. Each home on the tour offers a glimpse into the unique spirit of living in the East End. I love it that there is something for everyone's taste- from a clean-lined contemporary to a classic shingle cottage. This annual event benefits the East Hampton Historical Society, and the tour will take place this year on Saturday, November 27, from 1 to 4:30 p.m.  To purchase tickets ($75. in advance and $85. on the day of the tour) visit EastHamptonHistory.org, call 631-324-6850, or stop into Clinton Academy at 151 Main Street Friday November 26 (10 am - 3 pm) to purchase tickets in person.

Opening Night Cocktails at the Maidstone Club: Friday, November 26 (6 – 8 p.m.)
If you're feeling a little fancy, please consider attending the festive Opening Night Party before the tour on Friday evening. The Opening Night Party is held at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton Village on Friday 26 from 6 to 8 pm. Tickets to the Party cost $200. each and includes entry to the House & Garden Tour the following day. It is a wonderful way to begin the holiday season!
+Please Note: Maidstone Club is open only to Cocktail Party ticket holders on the evening of Friday, November 26, 2021.  The Opening Night Cocktail Party is a fundraising event for the East Hampton Historical Society.

This is one of my very favorite annual events, and in case you may miss it, I'm sharing Sneak Peeks of the five homes on the tour this year...I hope to see you there!

Happy Nesting
XO Tamara

1. Egypt Lane Landmark Built in 1917 from architects Polhemus and Coffin, this Tudor Style Home borders the Maidstone Club property on two sides and I am personally excited to see this beauty up-close!

2. A Shingle Style Revival- A newly constructed house in East Hampton Village benefiting from the natural beauty that surrounds, it was once part of the Lorenzo E. Woodhouse estate. This sculptural home showcases myriad design styles from the 1880s through the early 1900’s with a special nod to the Shingle Style revival that made popular in the Hamptons.

3. Village Retreat- This home has superb craftsmanship, an example of Arts & Crafts-inspired architecture with single-level living.  This Village retreat has multiple outdoor “rooms”, situated within smart landscaping. It is showing a calming palette of muted greys.

4. New Construction in Heart of the Village In the heart of East Hampton Village, this newly constructed residence is at once casual, relaxed elegance and traditional design. It's completely secluded, yet only steps away from Main Street, East Hampton.

5. Amagansett home by famed architect Charles Gwathmey This is a rare opportunity to visit this widely publicized modern home, The Tolan House. It's an original Gwathmey design (circa 1970).  As it's very close to the Atlantic Ocean, it is a sun-drenched open space displaying modern architecture.
