Now because of those useless things, the houses and their rooms are becoming overcrowded depicting a van having the capacity of 8 people fitting 12 people inside. As of today, the apartments or its rooms are small especially in major cities because they are growing in population. To adjust more people, the apartments and houses have shrunk in size. And for better sleep tonight we need to decorate our small size apartment more comfortable.

Tips for Decluttered and Mindful Space

Now that the space is already low, we people move in every single thing into our rooms that might seem useful without managing and getting rid of the old ones hence, giving up more and more space to adjust those things in our room. Now the modern architecture is all about the maximum sized products whether it is a bed, TV or closets but one should carefully assess that what are his/her needs and what will make their Bedroom look beautiful and well occupied despite having a small space. If you have a small space problem, I just might have the solution for the minimal bedroom ideas that will increase the looks of your bedroom.

We have already discussed that more objects consume more space so what we need to do first is to get rid of the useless things. The junk includes old books which you have never even touched for a long time, a broken chair which is there in your room and you neither repair it nor move it out because you are too lazy for that, old paintings or hangings, a useless closet which stores only few things and which is replaceable by a closet of small size etc. These are all the things you have to get rid of to create space for better things which you can afford to make your bedroom look great by using minimal space.

Secondly, what you need to start with your junk free room is to considering on a paint job. Light colors are the best for the rooms having minimal space. The color white is the most widely used color to be used in small rooms. If you are not up for white, choose any light color because it gives an idea of a room being no too crowded while the darker ones do the opposite. The more a room seems bright, the more it seems bigger in size. So, a light color with a pattern of your choice will overcome the minimal size of the room.

The next thing you have to do is to make space and positions for your bed, cupboard, TV etc. in a way that your movements inside the room are not affected by any table or your bed etc. The most suitable place for a bed is to be at the corner. The dressing table or the storages can be placed accordingly but remember, try to place these things which are simple in design with maximum storage capacity.

Now that we have discussed about moving the bed; if you decide to do some shopping and get yourself a new bed, you should consider buying a bed with a small frame and the underneath storage so in this way you won’t need extra storage bins or crates and you’ll be saving considerable space.

Talking about the storage, the design of most of the rooms now-a-days includes built-in storage. They are great for keeping your things without having extra storage covering your room. The built-ins blend in well with the room without giving a thought about their presence and providing maximum storage.

If you have framed pictures, framed artwork, shields or trophies that show your achievements or bring back some good memories and you want them to be in your room without making the room too crowded, you can use the floating shelves to place these items on. Using floating shelves, you’ll be using the minimal space of your bedroom with a creative approach. There are two advantages: One, you will not crowd the walls and second, the floating shelves will be pleasant for the each pair of eyes that sees it.

Another minimal bedroom idea is to use mirrors in your bedroom in such positions that they reflect the natural light to the walls making the room even brighter. Using mirrors in this way will create illusions of your minimal bedroom size to a bigger bedroom size. The easiest way to use the mirrors is to have a mirror of the body length leaned up against a wall near the place where light enters your room.

These are some of the minimal bedroom ideas you can use to make your small room bigger. One thing you must remember that your bedroom should only have things that are used by you and should not depict a hotel suite. Get rid of the junk and use these minimal bedroom ideas to make your bedroom look great and bigger.
