In the Mood: January 2021

 {Bunny Mellon’s Townhouse}

Happy New Year! With a new year, comes opportunity– a clean Slate, if you will. A new year is filled with promise, possibility, and the chance to make of it what we choose. After all of the heartache and challenges of 2020, I think we are all ready for a fresh start. 2020 wasn’t all bad. I think it forced a lot of us to take stock of what truly matters most of us; to shift our priorities and let go of anything that wasn’t in alignment with our core mission. I personally had to slow down tremendously with travel cut out of my routine which resulted in a lot more time at home. Fabian is still working from home and has been since March. Having him home has been incredible. All of the additional time at home has brought us closer than ever. I think Tate has loved it, too! Of course, we also learned that our little family will be expanding when our baby girl arrives in June. 2020 wasn’t all bad, but we know we are among the lucky ones and not everyone has been so fortunate. 2021, please be kind to all of us.

In my eyes, there is no better color to represent the dawn of a new year– a blank canvas, than crisp, pure white. Few things are as chic as a neutral palette in a home and you can seldom go wrong with classic white in your wardrobe. I’ve pulled together some of my favorite images of white architectural details, interiors, and fashion, along with some of my favorite quotes to get us thinking about the opportunity that comes with having a clean slate as we welcome 2021.

I always find the beginning of the year to be incredibly energizing and motivating. I plan to spend these next few days focusing on my personal and professional goals for 2021 and getting into a positive frame of mind as we ease back into work after the holidays.  What will you do with your clean slate this year? Whatever your goals, I wish you each good health, happiness, love, and success in 2021!
