A Note on Style: Mixed Neutrals

Hello LDV readers. It’s Karima from A Note on Style. September was about transitional dressing where I took many of my summer favorites and tweaked them for fall – white jeans with dark jackets, dresses in seasonless prints, and lightweight cardigans over tanks. Now, I’m ready to officially Turn the page and welcome some newness.

A mixed neutral palette has all of my attention. Worn together in the of-the-moment fashion of matched up head to toe, or casually layering a variety of tones into a sophisticated outfit are equally good options.

When not wearing jeans, I’m liking slim joggers or oversized trousers. Long midi skirts too, especially worn with loafers. The olive green skirt above has a matching tank that effortlessly creates a fantatsic outfit. For tops, the direction again goes either slim or loose. Knitwear bodysuits and tanks are the key layering piece replacing silk blouses or shirts. Chunky jewelry in silver or gold anchors it all.
