I recently came across this beautiful, modern kitchen by my friend Grant K. Gibson, a very talented interior designer based in San Francisco. The space is bold, yet it has a timeless quality about it. Sure, the brass accents including the custom range hood, Cabinet hardware, and plumbing fixtures are currently on trend, but the fact that they are all aged brass and paired with Classic elements such as simple cabinet door fronts, classic marble, and a La Cornue range makes the look fresh, but classic. The navy cabinet color is a fun, unexpected touch. While bold, it is neutral enough to endure the test of time. I love that a beautifully-veined slab of marble was used as the backsplash behind the range while the countertops appear to be a durable, glossy white quartz. This is the way to do a statement kitchen! None of the elements compete with each other, everything feels cohesive, and the use of classic elements make it chic.
