If you have a solar electricity system with Enphase microinverters, you probably already know how great the web monitoring portal is. One of the best features is the ability to be notified if your system is not producing the energy expected. This could happen due to a tripped circuit breaker, component failure, shading, or any number of other things. While rare, it is important to address issues early to prevent lost energy harvest!
By default, the MyEnlighten portal does not send system Production Alerts to system owners. The default setting just sends a monthly performance report by email. This may or may not be enough information. We recommend setting your account to send production alerts. The sensitivity of these alerts is dictated by the setting the system installer entered for production estimates. If you get too many alerts you may have to ask your installer to change your thresholds due to know shading issues or other factors.
To get system productions alerts using a computer browser:
- Log into MyEnlighten
- Click on your name in the upper right
- Click Settings
- Check the desired checkboxes for production alerts
- Click Save
