So after being in this House for over a year, I mostly still love it. But one of the things I don’t love is our stair wall. Because, well, it’s this.

It’s a wall. The model of our Floor plan actually had Spindles, but we were told that was only in the model, and we couldn’t actually get spindles in our house. Phase 3 of our neighborhood opened up at the end of last year, though, and our floor plan in that phase has spindles! Of course, the floor plan also costs about $30K more than ours was, and I’m pretty sure spindles aren’t worth that much.

However, that doesn’t change the fact that I want this. Well, reversed, of course. I’m not rerouting stairs or anything.

So now we’re trying to estimate the cost for making the change. Shallow? Probably. But it’s a small change that I’ll notice every time I walk in the door.

And no, it’s not a DIY thing. Been there, done that, not in a hurry to do it again, lol.
