Location: 6.1 kms from Souillac, Southern Mauritius. Riviere des Anguilles was named after Vicomte de Souillac the island’s French governor from 1779 to 1787. The coast here is impressively rugged and there are a few interesting places dotted around. For example, La Vanille Crocodile Park and Nature Reserve specialises in the breeding of Nile Crocodiles.
