If you didn’t Laugh, you would cry, but I must admit the news just now that Boris Johnson is not standing to be the new Tory leader and therefore, by default, the new Prime Minister, has made me laugh out loud. The man who shouted the loudest (after Nigel Farage) for Brexit has turned down the poisoned chalice of PM and is walking off into the sunset. I sincerely hope that the new Prime Minister will be Theresa May.
On the subject of Brexit, I was also inspired to laugh out loud by some of the comments on both the Daily Mail’s website and The Sun’s website. Both papers published articles after Thursday outlining what leaving the EU would cost its readers, and many of them were not happy. They have suddenly, it seems, realised what they have Voted for when they voted for out in the referendum.
It makes me wonder what on Earth may out voters actually believed they were voting for?
