I don’t know about you, but I love the cooler crisp air of Fall.  This past weekend in North Carolina, we had a brief feel of Fall in the air after Hurricane Hermine moved on.  I really enjoyed having the windows in our home open so I could enjoy the refreshing breeze along with airing out our home.  It was wonderful. 

The cool air helped inspire this weeks Spooky Fun Happy Halloween Card.  As kids are starting back to school and Fall is in the air, we are reminded that Halloween along with several other holidays are not far away.  It really isn’t too late to start thinking about making Halloween Cards.

Tips, Tricks and Techniques with Sunny Girl Scraps:

• Break out of your comfort zone!  Don’t be afraid to try something new.  With this sketch, I forced the design team and myself to add a banner that seems to be floating but once the baker’s twine is added, the banner is suddenly anchored.
• Halloween Night Product Suite.  Stampin’ Up! makes it really easy to coordinate and create projects.  The 2016 Holiday Catalog features various product suites with different products that coordinate from the colors to the designs.  On this Spooky Fun Happy Halloween Card, I’ve used the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper, Halloween Night Designer Washi Tape, Halloween Night Baker’s Twine and the Spooky Fun Bundle.
• Washi Tape.  Tenia Nelson has taught me that Washi Tape is really lots of fun.  Tenia is an amazingly talented artist and paper crafter.  I’ve learned to use Washi Tape to actually hold down paper, as decorative trim or as part of an embellishment grouping.
