Cannabis Dispensaries For Community Benefit: A Veteran's Extraordinary Tale

Everythingisgreen420 is a veteran-operated production company based in New York that works to educate people seeking to improve their health through holistic and natural methods. Through personal stories of CBD and other plant-based experiences, the Everythingisgreen 420 team shares how these wellness tools can be helpful alternatives to opiates and other substances. Their mission is to create a safe haven where veterans can connect, where chronically and terminally ill patients can get information about products, and where those looking to learn about a healthier lifestyle can do so. To continue the journey of inspiring canna-curious readers, here is one story from the Everythingisgreen420 community.

By Scott Richardson

Everyone is going to the dispensary now: Celebrities, politicians, old people, young people, people of color, and white people alike – everybody wants Cannabis. Considering how long humans have documented cannabis in the history of the world; could it be that cannabis is simply naturally sought after? Is the urge to consume cannabis embedded in our DNA– like the will to quench one’s thirst with clean water or an ant’s natural instinct to work for the colony from birth? Emerald believes so.

Dispensary Versus Bar: The Power Of Cannabis And CBD

At this point, Emerald and the security team have been working over 16 hours and seeing the dispensary serve over one thousand patients a day along with overseeing the volunteers and complicated parking system. Located conveniently next door is a very active bar– the kind of bar that attracts all crowds, from your everyday priest to your neighborhood friendly biker. The only violent encounter that required police and paramedics took place at that bar. This astonished Emerald.

Emerald observes statistics in front of his own eyes. Day-to-day, he meets growers and vendors of all brands from CBD pet treats to your favorite oil concentrates. He is in charge of the daily tasks when it comes to the dispensary, and his past helped found his passion for helping others.

Weed For Warriors Project And California's Changing Cannabis Legalization

After having the honor of observing the Weed For Warriors Project team and veteran SSGT Kris Lewandowski in the Orange County area, a seed was planted in Emerald. He wanted to see a similar change take place in his hometown and surrounding neighborhoods, and he wanted to be a part of it.

When it came to legalization, California wasn’t yet out of the dark, and cannabis raids started to happen in other neighborhood dispensaries. One day, Emerald and the security team observed a raid take place at the dispensary nearest them. Emerald felt uneasy about watching great Americans lose the right to serve a community in need.

Cannabis, Health Benefits, And Next Steps

Emerald had devised a plan to help inspire those in his neighborhood with information on cannabis and its positive effects. Preserving life and protecting lives have been common trends in the life of Emerald.

But Emerald couldn’t help but wonder: could the law be that divided about something that naturally occurs in nature? Why is that? Emerald continues the journey of answering these questions with the mission to make a change and witness it. Stay tuned.
