The Manchester United forward finally returned to Carrington after missing the pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia.
He drove into the training ground with agent Jorge Mendes and sat down for showdown talks with the Club - including Erik ten Hag and Richard Arnold - to discuss his future.
While the meeting might have been tense - at least Ronnie was comfortable downstairs during the crunch talks.
That is because Ronaldo has his own underwear brand - humbly named CR7 - which sells boxers, socks and loungewear.
And with the eyes of the football world fixed on his every move, the Portuguese star seized his moment to flaunt his brand with a timely Instagram post showing off the briefs.
He shared a sultry black-and-white snap of himself and his muscly figure in just his pants sweating it out in a sauna.
The 37-year-old captioned the post which has 3.3million likes: “Genetics loads the gun, lifestyle pulls the trigger.”
That is just about as cryptic as where Ronaldo's future lies.
The forward still has year left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
However, SunSport revealed Ronaldo would demand he is allowed to quit the club immediately.
But in their talks, he has found his employers are doubling down on the view that they will not sell him this summer - and even want him to sign a new deal.
