Gerard Romero's report this morning caused a lot of unrest amongst Chelsea fans this morning after he claimed that Sevilla have agreed to sell Kounde to Barcelona.

Marca have now contradicted Romero's reports regarding the same, claiming that Barca haven't even Presented a proposal to Sevilla.

"Sevilla affirms that Barcelona has not presented them with any offer, but the culés continues to think of the centre-back, something that seems more like a desire than reality.

"Koundé's signing by Chelsea is virtually closed. The English club's negotiations with Sevilla are practically sealed and everything is ready for the agreement to be made official in the coming hours.

"From Seville, they assure that there are no more mysteries in Operation Koundé. Authorized sources of Sevilla affirm to Marca that Barcelona has not presented them with any offer for the player nor has it altered in any way its intention to reactivate the operation."
