Lesson 2: Choosing Your Direction

In this lesson, you will learn about Branding and you will learn how to establish your very own brand.  Your brand will be based on your target market for the website you will be creating. Like Wealthy Affiliate is Kyle & Carson’s brand of their well-established website about the teaching of being a successful affiliate marketer. If you do not want to promote affiliate marketing instead something that you are more passionate about, can choose to craft and base your business around crafts.

Lesson 3: Building Your Website

In lesson 3 building your website, you will learn how to build the foundation of your business as this is where you will be sending your traffic.  In this lesson there are the following steps:

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website: Two options are Free website or your own domain. If you do not already have a domain name, you can register one directly through the platform site domains provided by Wealthy Affiliate. Again, there are some differences in the free members and premium members.

Free members can build one website on the provided siterubix.com platform provided by Wealthy Affiliate.

Premium members can build up to 10 websites that include websites with their own domain.  Think about all the business websites you can build around your niches.

Step 2: Is choosing a domain that fits your brand. The example provided in training is “realdealaffiliate” as based on teaching about affiliate marketing brand.

Another example would be “outdoorgrillsandsmokers” which is domain is already taken by someone who loves to cook outdoors with their family and friends with suggestions of equipment to buy along with recipes.

Step 3: Choosing a Website name which would be “Real Deal Affiliate” or “Outdoor Grills & Smokers”. This step is very easy to follow conducting research to determine domain name availability.

Step 4: Choose Your Design. As a free member, you have only access to one theme that has been picked for you with good quality, speed, and security.

Premium members have access to more than 4,000 designs and new ones added daily.

This lesson ends with a website and hosting platform. Again, free members have access to limited features compared to premium members.

Lesson 4: Website Look Around

This lesson is broken down into three different tasks.

Task 1: Delete the sample page and post that is provided by WordPress when you set up your website.

Task 2: Navigate the Back Office

As for new members the back office can be overwhelming, and this step just lets you get feel along with finding out how to locate everything needed.

Task 3: Updates

Sometimes depending on the date and time of install of your website, they might be updated. This task shows you how to perform the updates with simple navigation and easy to follow instructions.

Lesson 5: Activate Plugins

WordPress plugins are features that help enhance your website functions and there are over 54,000 different plugins, this lesson includes three.

Plugin 1: Kraken Image Optimizer which should be already activated. This plugin will help your images load faster by making them smaller. This will help your website be more efficient, run faster and help you rank better in search engines.

Plugin 2: All in One SEO Pack when you will need to activate. This plugin is going to be used the most in structuring your website for search engines. You will use this to manage your “meta” tags that are important in terms of how search engines display your content on Google.

Plugin 3: Classic Editor which should have been activated by default. This plugin is an essence making it much cleaner and easier working with when editing your website content within WordPress.

Before go on further discussing premium lessons, let me share my success so far with Wealthy Affiliate and compare to other members’ success.

Referrals

I currently have 24 referrals who have signed up through my affiliate links. Out of these twenty-four 10 have completed the basic training and one out of these 10 converted into Premium.  Going to honestly admit was not pushing members to join the Program as hard as other members, instead, they worked on retail fashion sales and home & garden sales.

Updated Proof 04/16/2020. You can be making this kind of money also from referrals while building your own business.

If I would have pushed harder to get referrals to signup my next paycheck would be lots more. By becoming a member with Wealthy Affiliate you can see other members posting their success with higher paychecks amounts.

Wealthy Affiliate for Real or Scam

In my personal opinion and use of Wealthy Affiliate, they are indeed for real and not a scam. You can research gather information about Wealthy Affiliate and find that they are very few negative reviews. The ones who provide negative reviews are frustrated that they did not become rich overnight.

Wealthy Affiliate is not a get rich scheme type business, instead offering training to help you succeed in running your own very online business. All you need is a few hours a week, computer, internet and dedication to be successful.

My Review is Different

My goal with this review was to be honest, which I have been and other reviews you find online do not show this much information. Instead, they offer fake promises with no actual sneak peek of what you will receive as a free or premium member with Wealthy Affiliate.
