It is in those quiet little towns, at the edge of the world, that you will find the salt of the earth, people who make you feel right at home. If I have control over where I’d love to raise a Family, all things being equal, I will definitely go for a Town that is far from my village. LOL. I get that a lot of people primarily the youths prefer to live in a city than be in a town or village, this is because the city is a centre of population, commerce and culture, a land of milk and honey. I really want to be close to nature, tresses, rivers, gardens and everything local. One of the factors that will determine the town will be it’s proximity to the city, a town that is a few minutes drive to the city.
Start a family. City Or Town?
A town is larger than a village but smaller than a city. One of the advantages of living in a city is that you get to be anonymous, a free individual without family members monitoring and scrutinising your every move. Life is quiet, private, peaceful and stress-free in the town when compared to life in the city. The traffic is enough to shorten one’s lifespan not to talk of the expensive lifestyle, food, transportation, rent…the list is unending.
Start a family. City Or Town?
Life in a town is not perfect and not everyone wants that kind of life but it is my dream life and I’m hopeful that my family will feel the same way too. It’s more economical to build a house in a town than in a city where outrageous rents are paid for apartments. Since I also want to own a garden, grow my own food, vegetables, fruits and meat, life in a town sounds absolutely good.
In a town, there’s less pollution, less stress, less crime, less expenditure and more healthy food, cleaner and fresher environment to raise kids providing them with a memorable childhood. You’d say a city provides more opportunity, could be true or maybe it’s just a matter of standpoint because I believe you can make money where you are. The philosophy is giving the people what they need and want while making profits. #intelNaija
