Set immediately following the events of 3Below’s second season, Wizards: Tales Of Arcadia brings an end to the trilogy and oh, good lord, it is a blast! The series debuted back in 2016 and the fantasy animated series was regarded as a breath of fresh air with respect to its genre. Honestly, I am not very familiar with the first two instalments, but the finale has definitely left me wanting more.
“Reality can often be stranger than fiction” – Archie. While the statement stands a 100% true, it becomes funny when you hear it from a dragon who lives as a cat and can talk. The final instalment explores Douxie’s potential beyond the perception of people as, earlier, Douxie was seen mostly as a servant. Douxie has his own battles to fight. He wishes to prove himself to Merlin as a worthy wizard.
Almost every character of the trilogy is here for the final battle. The Arcadian heroes embark on an adventurous journey like no other. There is time travel, time loop, and magic to keep you hooked. The journey to the past messes with the timeline that leads to an apocalyptic battle for the control of magic that will determine the fate of the supernatural worlds.
The fights have a perfect balance, they have a story, sentimental lines, power, motivation, and everything. The ending with a cliffhanger points towards a possible feature film in the near future. The best part about Wizards: Tales of Arcadia is the character bonding. How they won’t give up on each other no matter – however difficult things may get.
The 10-episode-long journey is filled with laughter, fights, true love, and magic, and not even once would you want to quit the series in between. One thing I realized today – you’re never too old to watch animated fiction shows. They are just lovely and better than reality sometimes.
Stream It or Skip It
STREAM IT! Wizards: Tales of Arcadia is a must-watch. The series will leave you scratching your heads and this will happen exactly at the end – watch out. The loose ends give the ending both a satisfying yet satisfying end, you know?
The series is not flawless but that should not stop you from watching it. You would feel disappointed because this is the final instalment of the trilogy and we wanted more of their magic, power, and love! Also, Blinky and AAARRRGGHH’s growing friendship is just adorable!
