What to expect from season 2 of the Netflix Family Reunion

Produced by Meg Devlauch, the comedy series launched its first season on Netflix in July 2019 and received generally positive reviews from critics.

In Family Season Reunion Season 1, the McKellan family decides to move from Seattle to Columbus, Georgia. They form relationships with their family members, but they also learn about common differences. Coco McKellan (Tia Mowry) and her husband Moz (Anthony Alabi) try to improve their parents’ abilities while monitoring all possible obstacles that could be problematic for their four children: Jade (Talia Jackson)), Shaka (Isaiah Russell-Bailey )), Mazi (Cameron J. Wright) and Ami (Jordan Ryah James). Lauretta Devine and Richard Round tree as Family Millennium Reunion Season 1 in M’Dear and Grandpa, respectively.

Family reunion season 2 renewal

Netflix has not yet ordered a family reunion season. In general, the broadcast service usually waits three to six weeks after the premiere of the new season to announce an official renewal or cancellation. Since Family Reunion Season 1 will launch on July 10, 2019, fans can expect Netflix to reveal their decision on Family Reunion Season 2 by the end of summer 2019. For reference, the Netflix comedy series of 2019, Mr. Iglesias, premiered on June 21 and was renewed on August 8.

Release information for Family Reunion season 2

If Netflix orders Family Reunion Season 2 before September 2019, producers can plan a production program in early 2020, at least if there are no scheduling conflicts for the main cast. Family Reunion Season 2 may be released in 2020. If Netflix wants to maintain a similar schedule, we can reasonably predict that Family Reunion Season 2 will be released in June or July 2020.

At the end of Family Reunion season 1, police interrogate McKellan’s children. Coco and Mojes are worried about this turn of events, of course, mainly because their children were outside the family home.

Later, Coco and Moisés are caught by the police. Family Reunion Season 1 ended with McKellan deciding to return to Seattle. Looking to the future, M’Dear and grandfather may choose to travel to the Pacific Northwest, or perhaps the McKellan family will eventually decide to stay in Georgia.

Netflix subscribers can expect Family Reunion Season 2 to balance smart comedy with social problems from time to time. Fans seem to enjoy the thematic approach and central performances, so Devloch and the company can choose to include new guest stars for some extra laughs.
