Will Taika Waitit Direct A Star Wars Movie?

Will Taika Waitit Direct A Star Wars Movie?

According to the sources, once Thor: Love and Thunders for Marvel ends, Tikas Vetti is being cornered to direct a new Star Wars Movie for Lucasfilm.

Will Taika Waitit Direct A Star Wars Movie?

It is not clear if this is the same project that Kevin Feige is producing, or if it is entirely different. Vetti recently directed the final episode of The Mandalorian, which was very well received by Disney + customers. He also expressed IG-11, the biggest predator of the show. Things are still early, and negotiations have not yet begun, but Vetti is contacted. Is this project for the big screen, or is there another question for Disney + altogether?

Waititi approaches the nomination for Best Movie for Jojo Rabbit, and recently finished the sports comedy Next Goal Vince, starring Michael Fassbender. Vetti is linked to the direct adaptation of Akira’s WB live-action. However, if he closes an agreement to direct a Star Wars movie, it could affect his participation with Akira.

As for Thor: Love and Thunder, the film is expected to premiere this summer before the release date of November 5, 2021. Collider recently broke the news that Christian Bale was in talks to join Chris Hemsworth in the sequel, in large part, because I wanted to work with Vetti. It is unknown what character is expected to play must sign on the dotted line.

Dotted Line Should Be The Top Priority Of Lucasfilm Owner

Speaking of which, that dotted line should be the top priority of Lucasfilm owner Kathleen Kennedy at this time. He needs someone like Vetti to wait and publish this fan base, which is a dump right now in the wake of The Rise of Skywalker, which may have raised a billion dollars. It was not well received. Vetti is a great storyteller, so allowing him to work on something original from scratch, instead of adjusting to someone else’s vision or fitting into a predetermined story structure, it seems like a smart move. Vetti, three-times Oscar nominee, is represented by CAA.

Somewhere in the Star Wars galaxy, the status of the trilogy proposed by Ryan Johnson is unknown, as directors now focus on writing sequels to their Knife box office success that will focus on the Inspector of Daniel Craig. Meanwhile, Game of Thrones producers, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, abandoned his planned trilogy in October, leaving the future of Star Wars back to the starting point.

Also, if you haven’t heard it, the Colin Trevores script for Episode IX is being completed, and we have the full report if you’re curious to see what might happen.
