Will The OA have a third season on Netflix?

Just strange or totally binding, the Netflix The OA is different from everything you’ve seen on the screen before. By dividing into near-death experiences, interdimensional travel, and awareness, the first two seasons, the second of which are available for broadcast today, present some truly amazing scenes and twists.

But we received some bad news: although a third of the story was developed by co-creators Zal Batmanglij and Brit Marling (who also plays the main character), Netflix canceled The OA.

In a statement, the original Netflix chief of Cindy Holland said: “We are incredibly proud of the 16 enchanted chapters of OA, and for sharing and realizing their bold vision through their bold vision, Brit and Zal. They are grateful.”

Will there be a third season of OA?

As we said before, no, Netflix has canceled the program. However, Batmanglij and Marling certainly have plans on how the story will proceed, in case it is renewed.

When will OA Season 3 be on television?

With a gap of almost two and a half years between the first and second season, fans will have to be very patient to see if the third season can ever happen.

In November 2018, Marling gave a very “chapped” explanation of why the second season of the program, initially commissioned in 2017, was taking so long to arrive on the screen. Noting that OA was not the product of a “pattern story,” Marling suggested that the program’s awkward appearance be added to its long production time.

“Our chapters differ in length, scope, and even style,” he said. “There is no pattern. Therefore, how nothing can be copied at each step must be invented.”

What can happen in the third season of OA?

While we can be very positive, the third season will include Marling’s character, Prairie Johnson. The former blind is not only an integral part of the story but her adoptive name, OA, is also the title of the program.

But beyond that, there is no indication that other essential characters, such as FBI psychologist Riz Ahmed or Patrick Gibson’s angry teenager Steve Winchell, return for another dose of interdimensional travel and interpretive dance.
