A 16-year-old girl robbed at gunpoint at the bus stop

The quick thinking of two 16-year-old robbery victims and one of their mothers helped the warehouse locate an armed suspect. The theft led to a chase on Hardy Toll Road and Cannon.

The suspect fired a gun at the two 16-year-old girls as they walked to a bus stop.

They took one of their backpacks, but the girls got the correct description of the vehicle and took that information to their mother. Then the mother surrounded the area and saw the suspect’s truck. He took a picture and called the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Exactly 20 minutes later, the deposits saw the van and chased it. Transtar cameras captured the suspect as he crossed the north side. Agents followed him from the other side of US-59 from the north side to Hardy Toll Road.

Officers placed several barbed strips, but the suspect managed to drive around most of them. Finally, his luck was over and he ran on the strips, exploding the front tire. Even after a long time, the van did not stop and was stopped.

The deputies say that the mother criticized the suspicion in the streets.

“When I talked to him, he was as crazy as he could and went into mom bear mode,” said Lt. Jeff Stauber of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Agents found the girl’s bag in the van and handed it back.
