Men Accused Of Stealing Presents From Foster Kids

A California police department declared it prevented two “Grinches” who were attempting to rob Christmas from a gathering of Foster Kids.

Red Bluff police stated it all began with a robbery Friday night at the kid’s initial Foster Family agency. Workers with the charitable described the robbery Saturday daylight.

“A large quantity of playthings that were remaining held there for kids for Christmas gifts were stolen,” police announced in a news report published by officials.

After examining the inspection and surveillance video, officers discovered and concluded the defendants were developing and going from the house next door.

Officers recognized the suspects who resembled video monitoring and grabbed and arrested Joseph Betancourt, 24, and Marie Bennett, 40, according to the reported discharge by officials.

“These ‘Grinches’ will not be removing and stealing Christmas from the children on our watch,” the news statement stated.

Police recaptured the stolen toys and presents and uploaded a photo of them on social media.

This is so cruel and shameful as the suspected individuals have done such a wrong and hateful crime.

The good news is the foster kids got their gifts and present back and can now celebrate their Christmas happily.

Betancourt and Bennett, both of Woodland, were sentenced to indictments of robbery, burglary, and violation, the Woodland Daily Democrat news reported.

Red Bluff is nearly a two-hour drive northwest of Sacramento.
