DECATUR, Ill  – A man accused of stabbing his mother in her head with a Huge Kitchen Knife is facing charges in Decatur.

According to the cops, the victim woke up on Sunday morning when a hard object hit her in the head. And they said she found the suspect, 31-year-old Jonathan L. Wilder, standing over her with a large kitchen knife in his hand.

The woman believed she had been stabbed, got out of bed and left her apartment, sworn statements said. She then went to find police assistance and located officers, who reported she had an actively bleeding cut on the top left side from her head.

Few staffs from the HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital told the woman she needed staples to close the wound, but she denied medical treatment, according to statements.

After which the police has searched the apartment and founded the knife lying on the floor, even Wilder being inside the house only. Then the police took the knife with themselves to the Decatur Police Department’s headquarters as evidence for the charges and the suspect was arrested on the spot only.

Even after the investigation police stated that the victim had had a laceration on to the top left side of her head that was bleeding badly. And she was immediately taken to the St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

Jonathan L. Wilder has been charged with exasperate battery and domestic battery. And his bail is set at a cost of $60,000 in Macon County.
