Jigawa state Government are set to begin payment of the new minimum wage after governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar signed the bill into law.
Governor Abubakar signed the law at the Government House in Dutse after receiving the final report of the new Minimum Wage committee.

He therefore directed the immediate payment of the new salary before the year 2020.
Chairman, Nigerian labour congress, Jigawa state, Sunusi Alhassan commended the Jigawa state governor for signing the law.
He also urged the workers in the state to reciprocate what have been given to them.

Hassan Auwalu, Chairman of the Joint Negotiating Committee, said that workers at levels 1 to 7 will enjoy the full N30,000 minimum wage and workers at levels 7 to above will benefit from the resulting adjustment.
