Kogi State governorship election turn bloody as thugs invades Polling units, killed 3

The Kogi State governorship election has turned bloody as three persons have been confirmed dead while several others are left injured when suspected thugs invaded Adankolo and Lokongoma primary schools in Lokoja, the State Capital.

Report confirms that the thugs were dressed in Police uniform as they stormed the polling centres where two voters in Adankolo and one in Lokongoma were shot as they went away with ballot boxes.

YawaNews learnt that, several persons were left with bruises as they fled for their safety.

Some victims who sustained injuries are now receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

An earlier report by YawawNews showed that the Kogi State governorship election is characterised with violence, intimidation, ballot box snatching and vote buying after inec official was reportedly kidnapped.
