Tonight’s pivotal Play-In games will ultimately decide who moves into the final two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. The 7 and 8 seeds in each conference are up for grabs. The Charlotte Hornets finished the regular season as the 10th seed with a 33-39 record. Meanwhile, the Pacers are the 9th seed with a 34-38 record.

Charlotte took the regular season series 2-1 against Indiana. They’ve dealt with injuries all season long from LaMelo Ball to Gordon Hayward.

Reportedly, Hayward will still be out with a sprained foot for tonight’s Play-In game. Cody Martin will also be out. Miles Bridges recently returned to action without a minute restriction.

Domantas Sabonis current official status for tonight’s game is ‘Questionable’ with a left thigh bruise. The Pacers’ chances for the NBA Playoffs are greatly reduced if Sabonis can’t play. Aaron Holiday and Edmond Sumner are also questionable. The Pacers’ Justin Holiday might start tonight’s game.

The winner of the Pacers/Hornets game will face the loser of the Wizards/Celtics matchup for the 8th seed in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the winner of the Wizards/Celtics matchup will officially earn the 7th seed.

Tomorrow, LeBron James’ Los Angeles Warriors will face the Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors for the 7th seed in the West. While the San Antonio Spurs take on Memphis Grizzlies for a chance at the West’s 8th seed. Both those games will air on ESPN. The 2021 Playoffs begin on May 22nd officially.
