Bleeping Computer has released a report according to which malware asking for a Bitcoin ransom is being circulated which can actually encrypt files permanently. These are not just empty messages used to frighten people. The report also states that DeathRansom was formerly known for fake encrypting files that later make your files unusable.

Ransomware attacks generally cause downtime and data loss and can potentially cause theft of intellectual property and could possibly consider a data breach in some industries. Ransomware is awful malware that keeps clients out of their gadgets or squares access to records until an entirety of cash, or payment, is paid.

There are numerous variations some ransomware is intended to attack Windows PCs, while different strains contaminate Macs and even cell phones. It is profoundly compelling in light of the fact that the encryption utilized is for all intents and purposes difficult to break.

In the recent attack reported by BleepingComputer, the targets have been asked to pay 0.1 BTC (current value is $710) within 12 hours if they want their fails encrypted. If they don’t deliver, they will not receive their decryption passwords.

This is, however, not being seen as the worst that could happen in comparison to the recent events which unfolded in Belgium where the godfather of a Belgian teenager who disappeared out of the blue during his trip to Australia, received ominous messages from kidnappers who demanded $300,000 worth of Bitcoin.
