Former DJ Jörg Molt Claims Responsibility for Latest Bitcoin Crash

  • Molt states that he “put the market down.”
  • Molt said that he dropped the market because of a “shit storm” against him.
  • Molt responds to Kenneth Bosack for calling him a “fraud”.

Jörg Molt, a German author and former DJ who claims to be a “co-founder” of Bitcoin has stated that he was responsible for the latest crash in Bitcoin. Responding to the cryptocurrency community’s reactions Molt states that he “put the market down.”

He recently retweeted another user who held him responsible for the latest Bitcoin price crash. Bitcoin has suddenly lost billions in the past 24 hours leaving people perplexed as to the reason behind the rapid increase in selling pressure.

Molt, the so-called “bitcoiner” seemed to have missed the joke and went ahead to claim that he had dropped the market because of a “shit storm” against him.

It is suspected that Molt was referring to the online reaction to footage of cryptocurrency proponent and podcast creator Kenneth Bosack who called him out at a recent conference.

Molt was introduced as the ”co-founder of Bitcoin” at the SIMS Convention at Symbiosis International University. Bosack called him a fraud to his face to which Molt responded by knocking his Bosack’s cap off.

Molt has also claimed to be the former owner of 250,000 Bitcoin. It is presumed that this was from his time as a Bitcoin developer and is probably what he used to crash the market.

Popular cryptocurrency commentator Andreas Antonopoulos also publicly supported Bosack and is of the opinion that Molt is spewing nothing but lies and is, in fact, a fraud.

He claimed that Molt shared a picture of the two of them and addressed him as a “friend” and later went on to deny association with Molt. To further quote him “If you try to use my reputation to boost yours fraudulently, I will use my reputation to reveal your fraud.”

There has been a large rebuttal from the cryptocurrency community after Molt claimed that it was he who crashed Bitcoin’s market. One respondent claimed that someone who was smart enough to have worked on Bitcoin would not have caused any monetary harm to themselves by rising to Bosack’s often in-your-face-antics.

On the other hand, Ari Paul of BlockTower Capital confronted Molt and challenged him to prove that he had anything like the number of Bitcoin he claims by signing a message with addresses holding more than 100,000 BTC.
