Google Reveals new Chromebook based laptop, Pixelbook Go

In a move to pivot back to the standard Laptop design after the Pixel Slate, Google announced the flagship level Chromebook, the Pixelbook Go. Sharing many concepts seen in the original Pixelbook, the Go looks to improve on shortcomings, while offering a fun family-friendly design.

Unlike the original Pixelbook, The Pixelbook Go does not have the 360-degree hinge, meaning this device does not turn into a tablet, and instead works a standard clamshell 13.3-inch laptop. Design-wise, the Pixelbook is more colourful this time around, coming in two variations, Just Black, and Not Pink. The laptop will feature quieter ‘hush keys’ on the keyboard and will offer up to 12-hours worth of battery life.

Spec-wise, the Pixelbook Go features two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, duel-front speakers, two mics, 8GB or 16GB worth of RAM, and comes in 64GB, 128GB or 256GB worth of storage and offers a 2-megapixel f/2.0 camera. The Pixelbook Go will come in m3, i5, and i7 variants with options for both a 1080P (1920 x 1080) with a high-end 4K (3820 x 2160) display option avalable for those who need the extra pixels.

The Just Black option will be avalable at launch, with the Not Pink coming after launch. Preorders are currently open for anyone looking to get an early jump on buying one.
