When Camila Cabello left 5th Harmony, it shook Harmonizers around the world. Camila left the group in December of 2016 and there’s been rumors swirling that go as far back as 2015 that Taylor Swift is actually the friend that convinced her to go solo! It was reported that allegedly Taylor would tell Camila multiple times that she has QUOTE “an amazing solo career ahead of her� and a source according to Hollywood Life said QUOTE It’s gotten to the point where she keeps trying to convince Camila to do a solo album.� Well, Camila is FINALLY speaking out about these rumors because she recently appeared on the Dan Wootton Interview podcast and defended Taylor saying QUOTE “‘It annoyed me that people said she was encouraging me because I know that she probably got a lot of negative criticism for that. ‘Absolutely nobody could ever persuade me to do something. To be honest with you, she’s never ever had anything to do with that.’ She also said her and Taylor didn’t even discuss their careers when they’re together, instead choosing to gossip about boys. (I mean that sounds pretty standard for a convo with Tay).
Taylor may not have convinced Camilla to lave but she sure is giving her solo career a boost since she recently announced Camila will be a support act for Taylor’s upcoming Reputation World Tour.
Camilla also told Dan Wootton that her time in 5th Harmony was QUOTE “Super Intense.� She literally said QUOTE “It was super intense. What we have in common with the One Direction boys is that we all started super young. We were all really young and we had no experience in the music industry.
“When you’re 15 and you’re singing in your bedroom, then all of a sudden your stage is the entire world, it can be a lot to handle.�
I really don’t think Taylor convinced Camilla to leave o her own I feel like it’s something she wanted for herself for a while. And I’m not mad at the fact that she is solo now and going on tour with Taylor, the reputation tour is going to be epic!
