YOU ARE MY Strength AT ALL TIMES, O LORD

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 40: 25-31.

In Psalm 92:12 the Scripture says, “The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the court of our God. I old age they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap; showing that the Lord is upright; He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

“This is the beauty and power of our God. Just as it is for the palm tree and the cedars of Lebanon, our God gives grace and strength to man, beauty to plants and birds of the air their shine. Hence he Palmist says, “What marvels the Lord worked in us. Indeed, we are glad (Psa. 126:3). In spite of these provisions by God man still face terrible tough times, to the extent that he begins to ask questions such as, “What is happening to me? Where have I gone wrong; and what else does God want me to do?

“Hear the Palmist, “Save me O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters and the waters sweep over me. I am weary with my crying; and my throat is parched….” (Psa. 69; 1-3).

Beloved, you may be going through a terrible situation now; The Holy Spirit assures you that you are not alone. You should therefore never dare to fight your battles with your power and strength. It in times like this that you need to rely on the Lord;  for He is your strength and protector. He will arise in His own time to do battle on your behalf. Here is this lamentation, “I am confused, depressed and in misery… I am thin and people mock me for that. Even within my family I am mocked and hauled with insulting words… Please ask God to help me.”

Friend, let your hearth not be troubled because your God knows what to do and when to do it. In fact, He says, “…you will only look with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.” (Psa. 91:5-8). Hence the Lord assures you today in Verse 31 thus: “but those who wait on the lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up wings like the eagles,…..”Beloved trust your cares upon the Lord today for He cares for you
