We admire her beauty, her dutifulness in tending her father's flock and her grace in waiting for fourteen years before she could be married to the love of her life. But for all her loveliness, Rachel was idolatrous at heart. On the night when her journey to the land of Canaan began, she stole her father's idols and sat on them.
