Cat Coronavirus Diary – Day 7

Hello Humans:

Some panicking in the UK today crashed the site of the British Veterinary Association who had given incomplete information about cats and the coronavirus. Yes, how could they? It seems as though cats are highly susceptible to Covid-19 and appear to be able to transmit the Virus through respiratory droplets to other cats. But there was no direct evidence that felines could also infect people.

They are not advising that all cats are kept Indoors. Only cats from infected households or where their owners are self-isolating, and only if the cat is happy to be kept indoors. Some cats cannot stay indoors due to stress-related medical reasons, including having extra humans in the house who keeping waking them up when they’re looking for the remote control for the TV. Miaow, it’s just a coincidence when I fall asleep on certain ‘useful’ objects.

In other words, if you sneeze over your cat then it won’t catch the virus. If your cat sneezes over you, it’s probably because you put too much aftershave on. Of course, dogs don’t catch this horrid virus and are free to go round bothering people, barking, and retrieving sticks and balls their owners are so obviously trying to get rid of.

Miaooooowwwwwww for now.
