Cat Coronavirus Diary – Day 5

Miaow humans:

People are getting some idea of cat time, where each and every day seems like the previous one. My butler human had a panic attack at 11am because he thought it was Monday and he had to attend a meeting for ‘work’. He calmed down when he looked at his phone and saw it was still what used to be called ‘the weekend’. There is no such thing as that any more, it’s all cat time.

I was sitting in the window when one of those hummingbirds came to the feeder the humans put up for it, so that the hummingbird or ‘hummy’ as the humans call it because they get tongue-tied with words of more than two syllables – miaoowww how catty – can stick its tongue into the sweet water and gain much needed energy in their fight for survival.

When it had finished the ‘hummy’ flapped its wings at me and showed the magnificent colours of its feathers, purples and greens all sparkling in the sunlight. I was impressed. The humans missed this because they were disagreeing about their baked beans on toast. You see, humans, you still have some things to learn about cat time. More lessons are required.

Miaooowwwww for now!
