It’s worth noting that the theory of reading minds the qualifying preposition “the” before the mind. This is done to underscore the point that the study focuses on the mind-set of others rather than theories preoccupied in the mind (you get it?).

Factoring the visual cues (body language and other non-verbal clues) you can easily predict the thoughts of the lady seated next to you. This holds true especially for people you are still building a rapport with. Never-the-less, this should be taken with a grain of salt as the folk’s theory is built on assumptions. A smile from a  lady  doesn’t necesesary signal a romantic invitation.

The strategies have been laid down for all the faint hearted souls who can’t approach the ladies. All that separate you from the magic bullet is your credit card! Yes, you guessed it right! It’s never offered free of charge.

The “Loopholes in Female Psychology” and a program christened the Pandora’s Box are some of the well marketed theories by PUA proponents.

What PUA protagonist a have basically done is to designed programs based on the basic tenets of some of the well-researched psychological theories that deal with reading minds. With this foundation, the have gone ahead and crafted steps which remain suspect in an attempt to show timid suitors how to control minds of their secret admirers.

Scientific Basis of PUA Claims

In the journal of Evolutionary Psychology, Oesch and Miklousic find compelling evidence that supports some of the PUA antics in relation to the building of human intimate relationships. Take for instance the stages of development of the relationship.

It starts off with attraction (though the label is different in PUA spheres). The bone of contention rests in the actual activities that may increase your chances of fortifying your intimate relationship.

In summary, the tactics proposed by pick up artists are yet to be subject to scientific studies. This leaves you at the mercy of your secret admire. They may work or fail to work. The saddest part of it is that when they fail, PUA has mastered the art of controlling minds. They will squarely place the blame on you for having missed a crucial step in their “how to score”. If it works, (lady accepts you) voila! They are the real deal! Either way, they win. A perfect scenario of manipulating feeble minds.
