Bloomberg Given Chance to Make Next Presidential Debate

We now know the next Presidential Debate, on Feb. 7th in New Hampshire, will have Al Six Candidates who Qualified for the Last Debate: Biden, Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Sanders, Warren, and the Former Hedge Fund Executive Tom Steyer.

As usual, other Candidates can Qualify by meeting the Democratic National Committee’s Polling and Fund-Raising Standards.

The Debate takes place at St. Anslem College, just outside Manchester.

It will be Co-Sponsored by ABC News, WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H., and Apple News.

Candidates can Qualify by:

- Hitting roughly the same Polling and Donor Marks set for the January Debate. Candidates need to hit 5% in at least Four Polls Approved by the DNC, or 7% in Two Early-State Polls, and received Donations from 225,000 Unique Individuals. Unlike Previous Debates, Polls from Iowa Won't Count toward Qualifying. The Only Polls that will Count are National, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina Surveys from a List of Pre-Approved Pollsters.

- Winning at least One Pledged Delegate to the DNC out of the Iowa Caucuses on Feb. 3rd.

The Polling Window has also Shifted since the Debate in Iowa. Polls must Publicly be Released between Dec. 13th and Feb. 6th, the day before the New Hampshire Debate.

The Entrepreneur Andrew Yang, for instance, could make the Cut if he earns 5% support in Two More Qualifying Polls by Feb. 6th.

But Party Officials have also Created that Second path: Candidates who Win Any of the 41 Pledged Delegates at Stake in the Iowa Caucuses Feb. 3rd will Qualify.

That means that the Other Candidates, including Former Three-Term Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg of New York, could make the Stage even though he is Not Fund-Raising and therefore Cannot Meet the DNC’s Donor Threshold.
