Getting Plans Together To Get Myself Together

We’ve had a semi busy weekend over here. We took my son out to his first County Fair and walked around to see all the different sights. He’s too young to go on any of the rides yet, but we took him to see all the animals and the antique tractors. We watched some trucks play tug of war and two rock crawlers destroy an old minivan and a neon. I also made sure to win him a new plushie at the dart throwing game. (Who can pop multiple balloons with a single dart? Oh yea, this girl!)

I didn’t quite hit my 10000 steps on either day, but it was more about spending time with my little guy then getting in exercise.

I think right now, I’ve more or less accepted that simply walking isn’t going to be the best method to lose the weight again as the sheer number of steps necessary to obtain my goals are nearly impossible to reach right now with a baby in tow.

So that leaves me thinking more and more about my alternative options. I’m pretty sure that I am going to join the gym behind my house within the next couple of days/weeks. That means I’m going to have to make sure to tailor an exercise routine that I can do after my son’s asleep that I can target all of my core areas with.

I want to be prepared before I start paying for the gym so I have an idea of where I should start, especially considering that I’m going to want to make sure I don’t burn out right in the beginning. This means I’m going to be doing a lot of research in the coming days so I know what I’m doing.

I also need to really crack down on my diet. I’ve not been doing very good with my eating whatsoever. I’ve been focusing on what would be quickest and easiest to eat and a lot of the time, those options are not the healthiest. It’s a good thing that I’m so in love with Pinterest, because I’m going to be spending a lot of time on it trying to get ideas of what I can eat.

Hopefully I can get everything figured out sooner than later. I’m getting a little frustrated with my lack of success. In the meantime, I think I’m going to do my hair, I’m feeling more than a little frumpy.
