Nami Island is definitely one of the most popular destinations for a day trip from Seoul, particularly with families, couples and tourists from other Asian countries. It was most likely made extremely Famous because of the Drama Winter Sonata, which I haven't seen, but my boyfriend is crazy about and when he went to Nami couple years before our girl squad did, he took pictures at all the important location featured in the drama.
The Snowmen are mascots of the Island, and I think it is because of the drama as well? Or maybe the snowmen were first and the drama only used them as well?
Supposedly, the barbecue should be really good. As far as I remember it tasted nice, but there was very little meat for how expensive it was. TT____TT

So this is the most famous part of the island... in real life, it looks much more plain than the fancy photos online, and it is particularly recognizable only because of the insane amounts of selfie sticks and selca-taking couples.
