The word “Uniform” is actually a common word used by all those organisations who seek discipline among their members or associates that can be Army, Police department, Security Guards, Custodian Staff, Hospitals or any school. Have we ever thought that why is it mandatory to wear School Uniform?

Since the educational system evolved, School Uniform has always been the fundamental requirement of the schools all over the world! The purpose of wearing School Uniform is to teach discipline to the students and create unity among them like a nation. Moreover, School Uniform represents the name of your school or you can say it is an Identity of yours even if you complete your studies there.

Students never like wearing School Uniform but Uniform actually teaches a student a sense of how to dress up and maintain themselves while socializing. When the word “Socializing” comes that clears the purpose of being admitted in the School. School not only helps you in learning academic curriculum but it also helps you in learning how to socialize, how to behave with others in public and how to build relationship.

Actually, human being is a social animal who can not survive being alone and thus school is one of the place from where a child starts to learn developing relations. School teaches you the sense of pride being a part of it in the same way a nation feels pride in its country. The foundation should be strong and that is why it starts from school to indulge the students to be responsible for their actions for now and future. Why our School uniforms are always checked in school? The answer is that we need to dress smartly not till school life but for our upcoming career too as our appearance speaks about our upbringing.

Every school has its own terms of wearing uniform like, colours, style and accessories. For every season, there is some addition in uniform but with the same theme of colours. Mostly schools design their own uniforms with the contrast of colours used in the School Logo or Badge. Additionally, there is always a slight change in both boys’ and girls’ uniform.

For example, in summers boys wear shirt and trouser whereas, girls wear shirt with skirt. In winters, there is just an addition of Blazer or Jackets in the same School Uniform. With the up-gradation of classes, there is always an addition or slight change in uniform. Mostly, we have three sections in which classes are divided, Pre, Primary and Secondary and for every section, Schools design different uniform.

Most of the people believe that School Uniform helps in avoiding distraction by classifying each and every student as equal person irrespective of status-quo. It actually supports the strict school environment which results in better academic results. This is all because of the equality the students experience in school due to exclusion of high-standards and monetary position of their parents.

Those schools which do not have compulsion of School Uniform, they might experience high rate of absenteeism due to fear of bullying of not having branded clothes. That is why strict rules of wearing School uniform caters such issues and promotes anti-bullying.

However, School Uniform is much affordable than buying new expensive clothes for daily wear. Therefore, it is seriously a blessing for parents as well as students and it teaches them the sense of belonging to a particular institution which leads their ways to prosperity in their future life.
