What is strobing?

Strobing is highlighting/brightening the highest points of your face. Unlike contouring it does not uses contouring products, bronzers, darker foundations. However, it consists of lighter concealers, highlighters and strobing cream to give the effect of contouring. I know, its bit of a shock we all have tried learning contouring just to get a slimmer looking face and yes i do remember my face when i first tried contouring, I looked like a kid playing in the puddle. Strobing is way easier than contouring is, it requires lesser precision and you are quiet familiar with it.                                                                                                                                       There are thousands of products in the market with different consistency, for different skin type and much more. Some popular products in the market for strobing are Maybelline strobe cream and MAC strobe cream hydratant lumineux.

How to strobe like a pro?

• Prep your skin with hydrating moisturizer- You wouldn’t want to cake your face with thousands of products and look like a grease-ball. Make sure that you have a clean face to work with and DO NOT! apply lot of product as you know little goes a long way. If you feel like you need to build the product apply a small amount and slowly build it.
• Use Highlighter/strobing product that best matches our skin tone- A wrong selection of the product may end you up in looking like a ghost.
• Use highlighter/strobing product on the high points of your cheeks just like you would normal highlight your face(brow bone, bridge and tip of your nose, cupids bow, and highest points on your cheeks)
• Blend! Blend! Blend!
