Colourpop: Supers Shock Shadows

Hello friends! Last week it was an epic battle between two face masks, but the judges were unanimous (the two of us ) and there was a clear victor in our opinion. To find out which reigned supreme, check out last weeks post!

Wearing: Muse

It’s time for us to focus on our beautiful eyes As makeup lovers (or some would like to call addicts) we watch a good number of makeup tutorials and there was always this one brand that everyone used…Colourpop. It was so highly reviewed and loved by our favourite Youtubers that we finally bit the bullet and placed an order online with Colourpop. Along with some lippies and other face products (want a review? ), we got 4 Super Shock Shadows and spoiler alert, we love them quite dearly!

Description

The shadows are long-wearing cream-powder formula. They have an almost bouncy texture, making it a very unique shadow but still very easy to use. They’re marketed as very creamy and intensely pigmented without any fallout. You can buy these little gems for $5 USD, which translates to about $6.50 CAD, for 2.1 g or 0.07 oz.

I ❤ This: Taupe with silver sparkle

Nillionaire: Metallic bronze with pink and gold glitter

Muse: Metallic rose

Mittens: Matte plummy brown

Review

As we gave away earlier, these shadows are absolutely amazing, especially when considering how affordable they are and how much product you get! They have a beautiful and large colour range with a variety of finishes: matte, satin, pearlized, ultra-glitter, metallic and ultra-metallic. Regardless of the finish, they all have crazy pigmentation – not an easy feat for such a big range! They are very easy to apply –  all the finishes except for the Matte Shades are best applied with your fingers, but you can also use a synthetic brush fairly easily (we recommend using a brush for the matte shades for even application). When applying the metallic shades we experienced a bit of fallout but nothing too crazy. They also last all day without much fading or creasing. Whether you out at the club or you’re low-key chillin with your girls, your eyeshadow game can still be on fleek.

Left to right: I ❤ This, Nillionaire, Muse, Mittens

The only drawback is that you can only buy their products online and that comes with shipping costs. We recommend you buy in bulk or bundle up with a friend. It’s very easy in our opinion to meet the shipping requirements

Pros Cons
  • Incredibly pigmented
  • Long lasting
  • Minimal fallout
  • Easy to apply
  • Many shades and finishes
  • Easy to blend
  • Affordable and lots of product!
  • Doesn’t crease
  • Only available online

Share with us your favourite eyeshadows! We would love an excuse to buy more Don’t forget to let us know if you want us to review anything!
