Our second day in Bentota, Sri Lanka was Sunnier, prettier and lovelier than the first!
The little time we found for ourselves when we were not on the beach or inside the pool, was strictly reserved for all the amazing food that our property – Avani Bentota Resort & Spa had to offer. And a little bit of time to interact with the friendly and ever-smiling staff.
Somehow, we managed some time in between for a few rounds of Carrom Board at their super cute shore-side bar and for a quick walk to the local market to buy Uno, Wine and pool sliders for the both of us!
Even though we couldn’t find any Uno anywhere at all, Praful was adamant to play it, so he bought a deck of normal playing cards and turned them into a make-shift deck of Uno! He went at every single card one by one with our pen and did what needed to be done. So Blue, Green, Yellow and Red became Spades, Clubs, Diamonds and Hearts. Boy’s got some dedication, no?!
